Ever Heard Of A Log Book Loan?
Posted on May 31st, 2009 No commentsIts no fun being short of money when you really need cash to get you out of a tight situation. Of course some situations require a larger cash some than others and the amount of cash you need will dictate which credit product you aim to obtain.
For people with a bad credit rating the choice of loans available is dramatically reduced and you’ll find that many of the more mainstream banks and lending companies won’t touch you with a barge pole. If that’s the case with you then you may be drawn to either payday loans of if you are a car owner, a log book loan.
Log book loans are perhaps less well known than payday loans buy they are widely available to UK citizens Online. The idea is that you use your car as collateral for a loan which allows you to take out a much bigger loan than with a payday advance but also means that you could lose your vehicle if you fail to keep up with your repayments.

Ideas for Business Gifts
Posted on May 31st, 2009 No commentsThere are so many great ideas available for choosing business gifts. Your decision will depend on budget, the occasion for giving the business gifts and also who the recipient is. Many business gifts can be given to both men or women. They are unisex. There are those that are more suitable for a male or female, however. So be sure and pay attention to the connotation of the gift and who is getting it. For example, women may not appreciate business gifts given to them of cuff links or perhaps even golf balls would be tossed aside. Women would more likely be happy with an engraved compact mirror or a recycled tote bag for grocery shopping. Other ideas for business gifts are items which can be used in the office such as the following: desk set, writing set, desktop clock, paperweight, business journal or calendar, business card case, picture frame, coasters or a mug.

What is a Ponzi Scheme?
Posted on May 31st, 2009 No commentsPonzi Scheme or Pyramid Scheme?
What is a Ponzi scheme and is there a difference between a Ponzi scheme and a Pyramid scheme?
Bernie Madoff has become infamous for running his $50 billion Ponzi scheme. But how does a Ponzi scheme (named after Charles Ponzi who ran a famous scheme back in the 1920s) work and how is it different from Pyramid selling?
In a Ponzi scheme the fraudster takes money from ‘clients’ also referred to in the vernacular as ‘suckers’ and promises to make them large returns on their ‘investment’, often this investment is supposedly made in stocks and shares. He then puts the money in a bank and waits for more money to come in from other ‘investors’. When he has received enough money, he pays an impressive amount of money to the first investors with the money he obtained from the second lot of investors. No investment has been made, but the first investors are impressed by the amount they have made on their investment and often invest more money as a result.
This system can theoretically continue ad infinitum, provided that there is a continual stream of new blood and provided not everybody asks for their money back at the same time. Unfortunately this is precisely what happened to Bernie Madoff. The horrendous stock market crash in 2008 and credit crunch meant that a lot of people needed to raise cash and so asked for their money back. At the same time it proved very difficult to find new ‘investors’ to provide new cash. So Bernie Madoff was stuffed like a turkey and confessed he didn’t have the money anymore. He also claimed he did it all by himself – which few people believe.
A pyramid scheme is simi;ar to multi-level marketing with the difference that there is no product and such schemes are therefore illegal. People pay money to join the scheme and then try to recruit othe rpeople who also pay money to join the scheme. the money moves up the pyramid to the top and the idea is to get to the top of the pyramid.
Another important difference wit a Ponzi scheme is that in a Ponzi scheme only the person at the top knows it is a Ponzi scheme. In a pyramid scheme generally everybody knows it is a pyramid scheme but they don’t mind as they figure they can profit from it.

Getting Cricut Expression Ideas To Make Money
Posted on May 30th, 2009 No commentsThe only limit to what you can create with a Cricut is what you can imagine up in your own head. Quite often, once you start working on Cricut expression ideas and projects, those creative juices start to flow a little more freely. One of the worst things you can do to get ideas for your arts and crafts is to let yourself stagnate. Just sitting around does nothing to get your creativity up. Instead, browse the internet on scrapbooking websites, look at other peoples Cricut creations online. See what they are doing and find some ideas that you like. Don’t copy, but it’s totally ok to be inspired by others paper crafts!

How Much Do Futon Covers Cost?
Posted on May 29th, 2009 No commentsThis is one question that is often asked about futon covers. The answer comes down to what type of cover you want and the size of your mattress. If you are looking for a simple cotton futon cover, with only one solid color for your twin mattress, you can find them from anywhere between $30 and $50 U.S. There are also more innovative fabrics, patterns and styles that will cost a bit more.
For example, there are leather and even microsuede materials that make really nice futon covers. For these, also depending on size again, you are looking at probably several hundred. In the end, the cost is worth it because of several factors. You will save more money on the wear and tear costs of having a cover rather than having your mattress damaged and having to replace it. Also, the added cost of a nice futon slipcover will keep you from having to spend as much time preparing your couch for guests. Both of these factors offset any slight additional price to pay.

A visit to East Hampton
Posted on May 29th, 2009 No commentsI always had thought the Hamptons were not I place I would visit. To exclusive, to far from the city and to much traffic to wade through to get there. Well I finally was able to spend a night out there and it was just great. I went with a friend who has been here so many times that he thinks Hampton vacations are what long weekends are made for.
We stayed in Montauk but since we only stayed one night we did not see a ton of stuff. Our visit to the lighthouse was one highlight. It is at the tip of the island and is in Montauk Point State Park. The place was relatively uncrowded when we visited, but it was really windy too. There were a few people surf fishing though, as apparently the area is supposed to be good for fishing from the beach. We also got to walk along another beach during the next day. It was a lot calmer and more pleasant out then.
My visit was too short. Now that I finally made it to East Hampton, I am itching to get back out there and see some more of the Hamptons.

Adding Decorative Solar Garden Lights to Your Design
Posted on May 29th, 2009 No comments
Many people overlook their gardens when they are remodelling their houses, because they don’t see the value of spending money outdoors. I think that’s a mistake, because a well designed garden or yard can add considerably to the asking price of any home. If you do decide to plan your garden, don’t forget the lighting for outdoors. Try to add some decorative solar garden lights into your plan so that you’re doing your bit for the environment at the same time.Solar garden lights are slightly more expensive to buy initially, and this is what puts a lot of people off of buying them, but if you take in to account the fact that you won’t have to pay for an electrician to lay expensive cabling, the costs start to even up. Plus over the long-term, there’s no electricity to pay for.

Crack Addiction
Posted on May 28th, 2009 No commentsIf you want to get off of crack cocaine then there are some things you have to do.
The first thing I recommend is to make a real decision to stop using. Pretty obvious to the non-addict, but you would be surprised how big of a hurdle this really is.
Crack is a heck of a drug. You can burn through thousands of dollars in a single night, then have a crushing amount of remorse and depression following this. This up and down behavior can make crack addiction quite the roller coaster. Many people will revert to alcohol after a crack binge in order to “drown their sorrows.” Plus, alcohol is relatively cheap compared to blowing 2 grand on crack in a single night.
Once you have decided to take action then you are probably going to want to learn a new way of life. You can kick start this idea in a treatment center or a drug rehab. Get checked in and start learning the ropes on a new way to live.

Dog Walking
Posted on May 28th, 2009 No commentsIt seems so simple a thing, walking a dog, but they really see it as how their pack is structured. The boss walks in front, and tolerates no disturbances amongst the animals they lead. You will probably find that if you have no problems walking your dog every day, you have no problems with him questioning his place on the totem pole either. A well mannered dog is welcome almost everywhere, and the frequency of the walks will help your pet burn off it’s excess energy that it accumulates during the day while you are away. This exercise and more normal social order can help you dog’s health preventing or reducing dog allergies, digestion issues, and nervous disorders. Even little dogs need the time and energy burn of the walk, so many toy dogs turn into obese little couch potatoes. The daily walk can keep that from happening to your little pet. I have even seen little treadmill set ups for indoor bad weather exercise. It is a great way to bond with your pet and get the exercise you both need at the same time.

Termite Mud Tubes
Posted on May 27th, 2009 No commentsTermites like to stay in the ground or in the wood they are eating. The do not like to be exposed and open. When they leave the colony to scavenge for food they prefer to find wood that is in direct contact with the ground. That allows them to start eating the wood without being exposed. If they do find a wood source away from the ground, they will build termite mud tubes to cover the open distance to get to the wood.

Termite Mud Tubes on a Foundation
Termite tubes should be considered a serious sign of termites! Breaking the tubes will quickly tell you if there is current termite activity in the tube. If it is an active tube you will find workers going back and forth. Termite soldiers will also quickly show up to defend the break while the termite workers work to repair the damage.
These tunnels generally apear along the foundation of buildings in corners or over cracks. Watching for these will let you know right away if there is termite activity around.
