What makes someone a cat person. Well, besides the fact that they prefer cats over dogs. What are the qualities that kittens have the would make a person choose them over a puppy. People who decide to buy that cute kitten and leave the puppy behind probably are busier and prefer the fact that cats require much less care than dogs. In my experience dogs are a bit more affectionate than cats, they tend to be more playful and less independent. You never have to walk your cat late at night, that’s what the litter box is for. You can always choose to let your cat roam freely outside, in which case they will need even less care. An outdoor cat can disappear for days at a time. So I believe that kitten people want a pet that allows them a certain kind of freedom that they might loose taking care of a puppy. This of course excludes the neighborhood crazy cat lady.
