  • Buying material handling equipment

Posted on July 12th, 2010 No comments

If your current pallet jack needs replacement, consider purchasing a new electric pallet jack.  This is also an excellent option if you do not wish to invest in a full frame fork lift truck.  Electric models can reduce the risk of physical strain for properly trained pallet jack operators.  It is also a good idea to send your forklift operators to an annual OSHA approved safety course.

There are many different brands for fork lifts including:  Barrett, Clark, Crown, BT Prime Mover, Cat, Hyster, Linde-Baker, Raymond, Mitsubishi, Toyota (Walkie), and Yale.

If you are looking for a new pallet jack, certain manufacturers such as Yale offer financing as well.  Consider a capital or operating lease as a way to acquire a new electric pallet jack without straining your monthly cash flow.  Occasionally, manufacturers may offer special financing rates under 5% if they are trying to clear inventory.

Alternatively, used pallet jacks can be purchased for a fraction of the cost.  This option is great if you can perform your own maintenance.  Often times, companies may be selling perfectly function units with minor flaws.  Parts such as wheels can be easily found online.  Certain parts will wear out faster due to regular usage.  Most units will need hydraulic units rebuilt, along with replacement of load bearing wheels.  On electric pallet jacks, you will also need to plan on replacing/servicing your lead acid batteries on a regular basis.  Rebuilding an older pallet jack can be a great way to save as well.

Some of the factors you should consider before making a purchase include:

Climate- do you plan on using your pallet jack mainly indoors or out?

How large is your maximum anticipated load?  Will you a counter-weight balanced jack?

Will your aisles fit a standard pallet truck?  If you have narrow aisles you will need a low profile unit.

Will you be able to perform in house maintenance on your jack?  If you do not have qualified staff, consider purchasing a maintenance agreement for your electric pallet jack.  Preventative maintenance agreements can take the guesswork out of pallet jack repair costs.

If you are seeking a unit with maximum serviceability and reliability, consider a Toyota.  Their material handling division makes lift trucks in the USA, (Indianapolis) and are extremely popular in warehouse environments.  The Toyota Material Handling division makes various models from electric pallet jacks, all the way up to full fork lift trucks.

  • Repayment Tips To Keep Loans Under Control

Posted on June 9th, 2010 No comments

Loans are sometimes necessary as people are faced with different circumstances such as emergencies or a financial crisis. Most people have loans and some of them are clever enough to have a repayment plan before the sign the loan agreement. There are some other measures the borrower can put in place to keep their loans in control.

The borrower is advised to pay regularly. Though it does not make a great difference it is important to pay as soon as possible to avoid spending the cash for other unnecessary items. Missing or making late payments will subject the user to increased charges thus increasing the amount of loan to be repaid.

For those who have mortgages, keeping the interest as high as possible is always better as the principle reduces especially for the first few years. The other option is to pump pay rises in to the mortgage or other loans with higher interests to enable its repayment to be faster. The borrower can do this by taking a holiday and charging the pay to the loans with high rates.

Keep in mind other loans such as a personal loan and credit card debts since they act as monthly destabilizers. For proper management of loans, the borrower should ensure that they pay off the smallest debt first followed by the next until they reach the largest one.

The other most important tip when it comes to loans repayment is to choose lenders wisely the first time. It is quite hectic to change lenders and therefore borrowers are advised to get the right lenders for their loan needs. It is quite an expensive venture especially for short term loans.

Other measures that can be put in place are to make use of redraw facilities and salary crediting. Salary crediting is beneficial for people with disposable income. They are advised to make sure that the higher interest rate paid for a fully featured account is compensated by savings from salary crediting.

  • Mailing a Semi Fragile Package

Posted on July 14th, 2009 No comments

If you are trying to mail some being that it’s somewhat fragile but not fragile enough to ned a box and the whole Styrofoam gig, then you might consider using bubble envelopes. These are great because they don’t cost too much money and are sometimes just the right trick for the job. If you are going to send a CD or hardbound book that you don’t want to have the corners banged up on then these envelopes are great. The best thing about them is when you get them in the mail you can pop the little bubbles which make them a lot of fun to play with especially for kids and cats. You should definitely supervise a kid or a cat if they were playing with these. Bubble envelopes are great for lots of different things.

  • Trying To Write 100 Blog Posts In 30 Days

Posted on July 11th, 2009 No comments

The quantity of posts that I’ve been making to my blog has fallen dramatically recently and I think its I did something to redress the balance. With this in mind I have decided to try and write 100 blog posts in 30 days starting today to get my online publishing back on track.

I’m not sure how difficult this is going to be since I’ve never tried to do anything remotely similar but I feel that this can be a great learning experience for me regardless of who it all ends. The worst thing that could happen is that I fail to make all the posts but at the end of the day I’ll still have a great deal more original content online than when I started. Hopefully this will mean I get better search engine results and more readers to my blog.

  • PPC Marketing Campaign

Posted on July 10th, 2009 No comments

Before you consider using PPC marketing (pay per click), there are a few things you need to take into consideration. First of all not ever pay per click market is the same. And while Google does take the lead, there are others you may want to consider such as Yahoo and Microsoft.

When setting up your PPC campaign, you will also want to consider your budget and what sort of features you want. Pay per click prices will depend on either performance or conversion rates. With some markets your rate is based on how well your ad is converting.

You should also take in consideration the design of your website or landing page. While you may not think that it’s related to a PPC marketing campaign, in reality it is because a consumer won’t purchase your product if it’s not easy to find or the page takes forever to load. So you’ve just basically wasted both your time and hard earned money creating ads that are getting you no where. And then where does that leave you?

  • Online Brokerages Offer Cheap Commissions

Posted on July 5th, 2009 No comments

stockAre you still trading with a high priced high commission full service broker? How many times does your broker call you to give you financial advice without you calling him first. Most likely you account balance isn’t worth his time and you are making piddly returns while his other clients are getting all the great advice.

Now is the time to take on trading for yourself. With the onset of the Internet, online brokerages are popping up all over the place. They offer low commissions, decent trading tools as well as 24 access to information. One major difference between online brokerages and full service brokers is that in most cases with an online broker you will not have free access to a human. With all the different finance sits out there such as Yahoo Finance or Google Finance, you have a wealth of free information at your fingers.

Most discount brokers are SIPC insured meaning your balance is insured if the brokerage would somehow go out of business. For most people being SIPC insured is all the security that is needed to feel secure that your money is safe.

Many online brokers offer promotion codes to open an account. They usually offer things like an account opening bonus, or a rebated cost to transfer your account into them. Check out the latest Optionshouse Promo here. You can also do google searches on things such as Tradeking promo for promos at other online brokerages.

Whatever type of trader you are you can be sure that you can benefit from a discount broker. They offer all the same features of a full service broker at the fraction of the fees. Don’t pay high commissions to someone when they buy the stock you ask them to. Buy it your self cheaper and reinvest that non wasted commission money into another investment.

  • Sports MLM Opportunity

Posted on June 28th, 2009 No comments

Health and sports are big business in multi-level marketing because of our idolization of youth and the fact that the biggest population group in history, the babyboomers, are at a time in their lives when their bodies are needing more and more care. With all the products out there that don’t really work it is hard for the average person to choose what to buy in order to have the best results.

This is where you and your MLM business come in. The reason network marketing words is because you already have an affinity with the people you are trying to interest in the product. You either know them personally or you have an in through a friend or acquaintance. This makes you more believable right off the bat.

You can use this affinity to help convince the customer that your sports mlm opportunity is worthwhile and a good value. Of course it actually needs to be these things because you do not want to be pushing something with no value.

  • Same Day Cash Loans Offer Quick Cash In Emergencies

Posted on June 11th, 2009 No comments

There has been many times in my life when I could really have done with getting my hands on a fast cash loan but I haven’t known where to go to find it. Since I got online a few years ago I’ve discovered the same day cash loan and use them occasionally when I run short of money during the month.

Payday loans lenders give me an advance for a couple of weeks and I pay them back when I get my pay cheque at the end of the month. Sure, same day cash loans companies charge a premium for their service but sometimes there really is no other way to get some cash to tide you over. As long as you only use them on an occasional basis, and aim to live within your means whenever possible, you find the payday advance is a useful tool.
