  • Rapper Gucci Mane

Posted on February 28th, 2010 No comments

The rapper Gucci Mane is one of the best rap artists of the decade because he gets great beats to rhyme over and comes up with very unique lyrics. He is not the type of artist to keep rapping about the same topics over and over on every single song. Instead, he always makes sure that he is talking about some new material and growing stronger as an artist. He constantly pushes social standards and sets goals for himself that he tries to accomplish. The reason that he always is pushing his game to the next level is because he genuinely enjoys working in the music industry.

He is the chief executive officer of his own company called “So Icey Entertainment” and has a great deal of clout down south especially. Not only does he work hard to push his own career and do bigger and better things, he is also trying to help other members of his label get more exposure in the music industry. Several artists like Waka Flocka Flame, Frenchie, and OJ Da Juiceman are prime examples of people that he works with on a daily basis. He always makes sure that there is room for these artists on stage to perform at his shows.

Not only does his whole So Icey crew perform with him and travel around with Gucci Mane, they also are featured on several of his songs. If you have taken the time to listen to some of his material (e.g. songs) that have come out in 2010, then you would be able to understand that he has many other talented artists signed to his crew that he can work with at anytime. In addition to the names already mentioned, he recently signed Zaytoven and DJ Holiday to the new branch of his company called 1017 Brick Squad. Look out for more big moves from rapper Gucci Mane in the future.

  • Are There Any Good Fighting Games On PC Out There?

Posted on January 29th, 2010 No comments

Out of all the different genres of games, fighting games are the most skill intensive out of them. You truly get to see who has more skill you or your opponent. You must rely on your ability to adapt to any situation and quick reflexes if you want to come out on top.

However, there aren’t that many PC fighting games available online. I mean good fighting games not garbage flash games that have broken controls and barely work half the time.

But what exactly makes a fighting game a fighting game? I would have to say that it’s a game that lets you controlling your character with precision such as kicking and punching and more times than not allow some form of multi player so that you can compete against other people.

Most people ask why they are so hard to find anymore? I think it is because of how bulky the keyboard is, it isn’t a precise instrument quite like a game controller is for the Xbox 360 or PS3. Its really hard and frustrating for players to try and control their character with so many buttons to get in the way. I think this is why most big publishers keep away from the PC fighting games because its too hard to make one that doesn’t annoy the user.

Why would you even want to play a PC fighting game then? Well you can get a controller for your PC or use your Xbox 360/PS3 controller which will greatly improve how much fun they are and your skill level. Did I mention its a lot more fun with a controller?

Lots of people are probably asking how you hook up your controller to your computer at this point. Well, its pretty simple for the most part since you just plug it in and install a piece of software that will emulate key strokes when you press the buttons so all you have to do is map the keys to the buttons you want to press and you are done.

Online PC fighting games are one of the best tournament style games as they usually involve little to no luck. This coupled with the fact that you can lay the smack down on all your friends that think they are better than you makes for great fun playing them!

If you would like to see a list of the fighting games or how to using your controller with your PC visit the above site, it contains all the information that you need.

  • Hottest Christmas Toys 2009

Posted on November 19th, 2009 No comments

Everyone is always looking for that ideal gift for that special someone, but each year trends change and it can be hard to keep up. The hottest Christmas toys 2009 are a mix and match of stuffed animals, design kits, video games, and barbies. DJ Hero is a video game that is available for all game platforms it uses a deck/mixer to mix songs from different genres into one crazy mix. Artists featured on the game include Eminem, Jay-Z, The Killers, Gwen Stefani, NERD, and many many more. The awesome thing about DJ Hero is the fact that you can use the decks and game in conjunction with a Guitar Hero guitar. So you can have one person mixing it up on the decks and another rocking out on guitar. Zhu Zhu Pets are another big toy this year. They are little motorized stuffed animal hamsters that your kids can take care of. Pretty much a pet for your kids to love and take care of, but without all the hassle of a real pet. Twilight is without a doubt one of this year’s biggest movies and the much anticipated New Moon release on November 20th, 2009 will have your kids adding Twilight Barbies to their wishlist. Twilight Barbie is available in both Edward and Bella dolls. Most likely your kids will be asking for the pair so it is probably best to be safe and buy both. Bakugan is a hit in both toy and television mediums. Simply the toys require cards and battle balls that are used in the game. Basically the gist of the game is a mix of pokemon card games and marbles. While it may seem trivial, it is actually a really great game for teaching your kids math or getting them to practice math skills.

  • Beginning to Play the Drums

Posted on October 15th, 2009 No comments

Next to guitar lessons, learning to play the drums seems to be one of the most sought after musical skills on the Internet.  I guess I didn’t know how good I had it, but I basically grew up with a pair of drum sticks in my hands.  My father was an obsessed drummer from his early teenage years.  And he made the decision early in the development, and for my three other brothers but limited on something he liked to pass on to his children.  While at the time I may not have always enjoyed it, I must admit that looking back over the years it was a pretty cool thing.  Not everybody learns how to drum from their dad.  This enabled me to play in a number of rock bands during my high school years.  How cool is that?

  • Money For Disney

Posted on October 12th, 2009 No comments

I wanted to do something special for my daughter. But money was an object. In fact we had considerable debt and really needed to get a handle on it. Being a fan Dave Ramsey it was easy to make a plan. Sticking to it was another story. My spouse and I both made sacrifices, we cut the cable bill, decided to postpone our vacations and cash out the time, and volunteer to work as much overtime as possible. We also took on extra side jobs as often as possible. With our added income and added savings we began to put a dent in our debt. This gave us momentum and we continued to make progress. Now we do have something special to give our daughter. She not only has debt free, stress free parents, but, we also planned a special trip. We booked a tripped to Disney Land, we even got her Disney Princess Luggage, and we will be staying in the original Disneyland Hotel. The one with the ceilings sprinkled with glow in the dark fair dust.

  • Blues Guitar Lesson For Beginners

Posted on October 1st, 2009 No comments

Have you recently started playing guitar? Are you getting a little bit stuck and are not sure what to do next? In that case, you should try a blues guitar lesson for beginners.

Blues guitar is one of the most simple guitar styles to get to grips with, when you are first learning the guitar. For the most basic patterns, you only need to know three chords and you can put together a very effective blues guitar solo with just five notes or less.

It’s all about the feel with blues. If you play something simple but play it from the heart, it will sound great and you will connect with your audience, whoever that audience might be.

Playing the blues on the guitar is a great way to make something simple sound good.

  • Fun Halloween Trivia

Posted on September 27th, 2009 No comments

With Halloween just around the corner, now’s the perfect time to start planning the year’s scariest party. This Halloween trivia can be used for games, contests, costume ideas, and conversation starters all season long.

    • Halloween has been celebrated for more than 2000 years. It was first known as All Hallows Eve, the day that early Celtics believed marked the time period that the spirits of their decease loved ones returned to Earth.
    • The first jack-o-lanterns were designed to keep these spirits at bay. They were originally made of turnips, a common vegetable that was easily accessible in Europe. But after the tradition spread to America, early settlers switched to pumpkins, an indigenous plant that was more readily accessible.
    • Last year, $5.77 billion dollars was spent on the celebration of Halloween. The most popular adult’s costume was the witch, and the most popular child’s costume was the prince/princess. While miniature chocolate bars have long been a staple in trick-or treat giveaways, 2008’s most commonly handed out was the Snickers.
    • Samhainophobia is the fear of Halloween.
  • Silk: The Group

Posted on September 26th, 2009 No comments

The R&B group Silk are probably most well known for their 1993  hit  “Freak Me” which came off of their debut album called Lose Control. Also off that album, “Girl U For Me”,  allowed the album to get to double platinum.  Later successes came with songs like  “I Can Go Deep”, “Hooked On You”, “Don’t Rush”, “If You”, “Meeting In My Bedroom”, and “We’re Calling You.”

Silk music was discovered by  Keith Sweat, an R&B musician. The 5 person group consisted of Tim Cameron, Jimmy Gates, Gary “Big G” Glenn, Gary “Lil G” Jenkins and Jonathen “John-John” Rasboro.  But in 2002, the group and Keith Sweat were both dropped from the label. Also  that year, Jenkins ditched the group to pursue his other interests like stage performance, eventually appearing in a piece by Tyler Perry.

  • Ben 10 Ultimate Omnitrix Watch

    Ben 10 Ultimate Omnitrix Watch

    Ben 10 Ultimate Omnitrix Watch

The Ben 10 Ultimate Omnitrix watch is the new toy to accompany the latest Ben 10 cartoon series – Alien Force. Ben is five years older than he was in the first TV show and in that time the Omnitrix has evolved from a shiny black one to a green one. The alien forms that come from the watch like device have also changed and the Omnitrix shows them prior to transformation as holographic images projected from the watch.

As with most of the Omnitrix in the Ben 10 toys range, the Ultimate version has flashing lights and sound effects from the TV show. Bandai, the toy’s maker, have combined the two most popular Ben 10 toys, the Omnitrix and the action figures cleverly with this new version as they have included a mini figure (to try to replicate the holographic image) making it a two-in-one toy.  These mini figures are transparent and not articulated but they do fix onto the dial of the watch. Once attached they unlock that aliens’ voice and sound effects. One mini figure, Swampfire, is included with the Omnitrix and more are sold with each 10cm action figure.
