If you have the luxury of owning more than one cashmere cardigan, try to get one in the basic, neutral colors such as white, black or grey, and then buy one in a more colorful color such as green, red or purple.  The cardigan will last you all winter long as you mix and match with your other clothes.  Sometimes having something fun and bright to put on is excellent to brighten up the winter day.  Finally, cashmere cardigans are excellent to stuff in any purse or office bag so you will always have something on hand if you get cold.

There is a near infinite amount of items out there that are supposed to make our lives easier in taking care of our homes. From closet organizers to storage units of all shapes and sizes, to robotic vacuum cleaners, if there’s a need for it, it exists. But often, much of these things we can get along without them just fine.

One little item I did pick up recently, after hearing about it from the Portable Closet Guide online, that I find really interesting is this cloth portable closet I got from Target. It allows me to have a mobile closet on wheels. It’s ultra light weight and easy to push (except up the stairs!) and if I wanted to, I could even take it with me on vacation. I use it for the extra storage mostly, but I also use it to transport clothes from the dryer to closet. And if the need ever arises, I have a closet now for any guests that stay at my home!

All in all, this is one household helper item I want to keep!
