How to Organize Your Garden Tools
Posted on June 6th, 2010 No commentsHave you found that your gardening equipment is unorganized and in desperate need of help? If so, I have a perfect solution to helping you get your garden tools organized. If you would take the time to organize your tools, equipment and supplies, you will soon come to realize that you will be able to find things easier, and will keep your tools from being damaged.
I think every garden could benefit from a garden tool organizer. It seems that most people have items that need some organizing. Such things as, garden tools, both large and small varieties, hoses and extension cords, automotive tools and equipment, cleaning supplies, and many small items like nails, screws and bolts that always seem to be disorganized.
A garden tool organizer comes in many styles. Most of them are usually wall mounted or come in a free standing storage form. The wall mounted types can be purchased beyond the standard shelves, or board and peg designs. There are some really neat organizers available both on line and in yard and garden stores. They come in many price ranges, and usually have some easy to install directions, to make sure that you can easily put up your organizer and get it going as soon as possible.
The wall mounted types are the most common ones. They go directly onto the wall itself. Some of the more heavy duty types will require screws instead of nails to hang them on. Screws always do a better job since they are screwed in and can’t just slide out as nails can do.
The best ones that I have seen are the all-in-one designs. The whole system hangs on the wall and has pockets that allow you to place different sized items into each pocket or compartment. The larger types of equipment will usually be placed into the bottom pockets and will also help hold the organizer down.
The free standing types may consist of compartment that have wheels attached. It also has compartments for larger items to stand up making it easier to get them in and out of the organizer.
