Dog Walking
Posted on May 28th, 2009 No commentsIt seems so simple a thing, walking a dog, but they really see it as how their pack is structured. The boss walks in front, and tolerates no disturbances amongst the animals they lead. You will probably find that if you have no problems walking your dog every day, you have no problems with him questioning his place on the totem pole either. A well mannered dog is welcome almost everywhere, and the frequency of the walks will help your pet burn off it’s excess energy that it accumulates during the day while you are away. This exercise and more normal social order can help you dog’s health preventing or reducing dog allergies, digestion issues, and nervous disorders. Even little dogs need the time and energy burn of the walk, so many toy dogs turn into obese little couch potatoes. The daily walk can keep that from happening to your little pet. I have even seen little treadmill set ups for indoor bad weather exercise. It is a great way to bond with your pet and get the exercise you both need at the same time.
