How To Slide While Playing Softball
Posted on June 11th, 2009 No commentsWhen making your way into a bag when sliding during a softball game there are a few differen things that you are going to want to do to ensure that you aren’t going to get hurt. The first thing you want to do is make sure that your arms are off the ground. Getting your hands scrapped up can really make it difficult to hold a softball bat or to stick your hand inside your softball glove.
The other thing that you to make sure that you do is keep your pink softball cleats parallel with the side of the bag that you are sliding into. By going into the bag leading with your heel you run the risk of hyper extending your leg and if you go in with your toes pointed you could end up jamming it or, much worse, breaking it.
Sliding should be a safe and fun way of getting into a base while playing softball, not a way to get injured.
